Thats all.
1. Thank God I have finally installed it ...
Yeah, I just got it installed.
But here is the question:
LILO still wait 30 sec (which I asked it to) and then jumped directly to
NT loader.
I tried using the BOOT disk and use SHIFT then TAB.
It only says DOS instead of LINUX or whatever.
I have a couple of questions:
First, what is the text editor of Linux? Should I
cd dev
first and then find it there?
Qu. 2: How to get LILO see Linux OS rather than just DOS? Do I have to
go into the text editor I was mentioning and the do editing on
etc\lilo.conf
.... or whatever directory that it should be in?
Qu. 3. I have one internal SCSI and 1 external SCSI. Both of them are
partitioned with 1 primary and 1 extended, that is if it is in DOS, it
would be:
C:
D:
E:
F:
But what is Linux's conventions for those drives while they are not
recognized as C,D,E or F?
Would it be something like:
sda1
sda2
sdb1
sdb2
? In this case, I installed Linux, the OS itself into sdb2.
FYI, I have DOS/Win95 in C:, WINNT351 system OS in D:, which is NTFS, E:
is FAT, for data storage and F:, which used to be scratch for NTFS NT,
but I have it for Linux now, which is about 600mb, supposedly (if my
setup is correct).
I ask for the convention because I wonder if I need to modify the
LILO.CONF that I might need these info.
Any ideas guys?
THANKS !!!
