MH for Linux, *please*!

Aw, c'mon fellas, doesn't _someone_ know where I (and
the others who have also asked) can get a copy of MH
(or emh) for Linux? It and patches are supposed to be
--used to be--in /pub/Linux/system/Mail/mailhandlers on
sunsite and its mirrors, but NO MORE! xmh [the rider] in
Slackware distribution isn't much use without MH itself
[the horse]. What's become of it? How/when/where can it
now be obtained? Please, somebody...

It's probably on ftp.ics.uci.edu: /pub/mh .
The configurationing and compiling could be a pain.  I didn't
check if there're binaries as well.
Good luck.

I've installed mh according to the instructions and I get the following
error when I type "inc":

inc: unable to lock and fopen /usr/spool/mail/borella

Thus, I'm not able to build an inbox.  Anybody know what I did wrong?

Email responses, please.

Thanks,
Mike

Ok, I managed to answer my own question...

You need to change the /usr/spool/mail directory to have global write
permission.  Apparently inc runs as the user, while mail runs as root.
Thus the user running inc cannot remove the mail file from the directory and
therefore inc fails (with an appropriately cryptic error message).  I figured
this out when inc worked for root, but not my user account.

Maybe this should go in the "weird problems for beginners FAQ"...or at least
the mh distribution README.
