Initio produces a binary-only driver for Linux for their host adapter.
Source code is not available, and the driver must be loaded as a kernel
module. As a result, you need to already have a somewhat functioning
system before you can connect to an Initio SCSI card. And that module
may or may not work with any given kernel; difficult to determine.
It is probably going to be less of a headache for you to toss the card
and find something actually supported by Linux.
Initio claims to support Linux; this would be more convincing if they
a) Provided source code, or
b) Provided some defined level of service as opposed to "Here's a
kernel module - if it doesn't work for you, tough luck!"
People consistently decry X for doing precisely what it was designed to
do: provide a mechanism to allow *OTHERS* to build GUI systems.
