Hi..
I was at UNIX EXPO this year, and helped out for a few hours at the ACC
Corp/ NYCLUG booth, and got to meet HJliu ( the keeper of Linux-GCC ),
and tried to answer as many questions about Linux as I could. HJ had
left his laptop running XFree to draw people from the show to the
booth.
I also attended the first meeting, sponsored by Bob Young at ACC, and
saw that there was a decent sized crowd for a first time gathering.
I haven't heard anything after that meeting, so I was wondering if anyone
else attended and was interested in perhaps organizing a NYCLUG, that
would serve its members and the Linux community as a whole by conducting
meetings, and perhaps maintaining a mailing list and/or ftp/www site
for the public.
I would be willing to help organize the LUG, if there was interest.
Comments are encouraged. Thanks
