Locale not supported by C library ??

When I start emacs 19.30 or xmodmap I get the above error message. How
do I get rid of it ? I'm using the RedHat 2.1 installation of Linux.

Hej Rasmus,

[for the benefit of other readers, I'll keep this in english]

Locale support has changed significantly with the move to the ELF
format and the rewriting of locale-routines in libc 5.x . If your
programs are in ELF, then you just need to install the danish locale-
definition files. These - as well as instructions on how to do it -
can be found at i44ftp.info.uni-karlsruhe.de /pub/linux/ctype .

Or you can pick up a precompiled set up locale-files for Denmark
from my home page, at http://eolicom.olicom.dk/~storner/
Install these files, add "export LANG=da_DK" to /etc/profile,
and you're all set. Even cal(1) prints out danish names for
months and weekdays.
