Fellow Linux  users,

I'm seriously considering buying this product as I think its excellent
,on paper anyway. I have not used it yet and I don't want to sound like
an advert but would appreciate:

Any comments , descriptions , experiences welcome.

Its a nice package.  Pretty quick, with an extensive API.  The ODBC
server/client works well.  Easily accessed from C.

1. Personal Empress RDBMS

Can anyone comment on Personal Empress RDBMS?  For the price of $99
($89 at ACC Book) plus the cost of Motif (while the Empress homepage
states they've used Trans-Ameritech Motif, the ACC rep says SWiM
will work) it seems to fit the bill at my workplace.

For those wanting more info check www.empress.com and their What's New
page.   Also check www.acc-corp.com.

Please also note system configurations (version of Linux, Motif, etc).
TIA,
Ron
