Hi Guys !
Is this possible ? I have tried _many_ configurations, including loadlin,
different custom compiled kernels & precompiled ones, lilo, no lilo, etc ..
I don't get _any_ messages, error or otherwise. Just hangs upon booting
with floppy.
Using loadlin, Since I configured dos to see 640K of memory, mapping is
wrong, (physical to virtual). Can't loadlin on 512K.
Hearsay; vague memories; guesses; pointers to specialized reading/hacking;
brilliance; all welcome, :-)
Is the problem the machine ? or me ? It _had_ Xenix on the hard drive, (at
least a boot prompt)
Thanks in advance, specially for telling me it's possible :-). I'm trying
just to get it up and running for my provider who'd like to use Linux as a
newsbox as opposed to BSDI, since our ext2fs is reportedly a _lot_ faster
for smaller accesses, but would like to play around with it first. We'll
definitely throw in a large drive as soon as I get things configured.
Regards.
