Would you like to setup the Xconfig on XFree86 2.0 ?
Last Sunday I installed the Slackware Linux 1.1.2 into my i486DX2
66MHz with 8M RAM, 340M HD (140M for MS-DOS), S3 805 VideoCard(VLB)
and VGA monitor 800x600) . But I can not find my video's modeDB from
modeDB.txt and other on-line README.  I tested my S3 by using
        %X -probeonly > & /tmp/out,

I got I can use the following dot clock :
#name           clock MHz
"640x480"     31.5
"800x600"     36
"1024z768"    75
maxium dot clock:110 MHz

My videocard's spec says the
#name           H KHz/ V Hz
"640x480"     37.9 / 72
"800x600"     35.5 / 56
"1024z768"    56.5 / 72
