Documentation/Configure.help says:

: CONFIG_NLS
:   This is required by the FAT based filesystems and by the ISO9660
:   filesystem with Joliet support.

Yes, I didn't find it too on the first time. It's on the Filesystems but
you have to select Native language support (Unicode, codepages)  support to
see it :)

        Good luck.

You have to answer YES to UNICODE in the FS section of CONFIG and then
you will be queried about iso9660 and FAT and  MSDOS and VFAT etc...
UNICODE adds multilingual support which is apparently required by the iso9660

1. 2.0.34 -- fs type iso9660 not supported by kernel.

Hello,

I recently upgraded 2 of my 4 linux systems to 2.0.34.

Although the cdrom is recognized at bootup, I cannot mount because of the
above problem.

One system is an ide cdrom, another is a scsi cd.
I get the same error message on both systems,
and iso9660 is NOT listed as a filesystem in /proc/filesystems.

So, what am I missing here??

thanks,
Ken
