hello, last night I made the dim-witted mistake of putting a shell
script in my rc.M file without putting it in the background. Now,
that wouldn't matter, I suppose, if nothing else went wrong, but
something did. The script is supposed to endlessly loop if it
can find any configuration files, and since it looks for files
relative to the current directory, I have a looping script that
prevents me from doing anything with my machine.
I'm gonna get a boot disk (my boot floppy always boots the HD kernel
for some reason) from one of my friends and hopefully can work off that.
How can i at least change the runlevel so that I can maybe start xdm and
fix the rc.M file? does anyone have a better suggestion about what I
should do? I'd *really* hate having to reinstall cause I've accumulated
a lot of stuff through the..months..i've had linux.
