We install the redhat 6.0. Then we installed the user quota that comes
with the package. now, when i do passwd to enter a new passwd for a user
and after the final entring and hitting the enter key, the system halts
and i get the system freeze. what would be the cause?.

Please if you do not mind email me copies of your posts/replies. My

1. NIS+ passwd changing errors

When trying to change a users passwd vis admintool, I get the following
error: (this is via memory, so syntax may be not exact)

operation failed
error code 180
mode clean
368 Modification of home directory
permission: security exception on host kenebalu user access denied

root identity root.fiji was received, not a root id valid on system.

Is this an attempt to execute a remote functiona while running as root?

This is happening when trying to change a users passwd that has a home
dir on kenebalu, while on the NIS+ master fiji.

Any help would be appreciated.
