My equipment comprises a Philips CDD2000 CD-R with its 1Gig Seagate
auxilliary disk. Both are attached to an Adaptec 1542 SCSI adapter.
The software is the X-based xcdroast and I am running kernel 2.014.
Burning works like charm. My computer is on the fast side (bi PPro 200);
however, according to the author of xcdroast, it's possible to use even
a 486 machine.

Good luck,
