Hi!
I got a Linux box (P133MHz, ASUS TP4XE, AH2940, 2 GB + 4GB SCSI disks)
which used to work just fine --- until it seems to have crashed in a
power cut while I was on vacation.
On booting up, it tries to fix the filesystems --- but it cannot fix
the /usr file system --- running e2fsck on /usr (about 1.6GB in size)
results after some time in error messages from the SCSI drivers:
aic7xxx: target 1 underflow - wanted (at least) 61440, got 60416
aic7xxx: target 1 underflow - wanted (at least) 61440, got 11264
aic7xxx: target 1 underflow - wanted (at least) 61440, got 11264
aic7xxx: target 1 underflow - wanted (at least) 61440, got 11264
.
.
.
Does anybody know what to do about this? Use a new kernel (I got 1.3.35
on the machine)? Get a new e2fsck (I got vanilla Slackware 3.0 installed
(e2fsck 0.5b, 14-Feb-95 for EXT2 FS 0.5a)?? Or just forget about it and
a). reuse filesystem without check :-(
b). reinstall linux :-(((
Thanks for any help!
Cheers
Raimund
