Where can I find info on running programs compiled for SCO 5.X on
Linux? Can this be done?

I do know that Microsoft FoxPro 2.6 for UNIX (which was / is sold for
SCO UNIX systems) does run on linux systems so long as iBCS is compiled
into the kernel or laodable as a module and supports COFF binaries.
Works fine with the ext2fs file system; no need to install XENIX or Sys
V UNIX filessytems on the linux box. FoxPro does need a hacked terminfo
file, but other SCO programs may not.
I suggest if you have the SCO programs, try them - you'll probably have
to use tar to extract from floppy and carefully read any installation
scripts.
Anyone else out there able to offer advice / experience?

1. SCO compatibility (robust?)
Hello,
I was wondering about the extent/reliability of SCO emulation in
FreeBSD. I am interested in running Oracle 7 on my FreeBSD box and they
don't offer a native version. They do, however offer a SCO OpenServer
version, and since FreeBSD offers SCO binary compatibility, I should be
able to run this one, right?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I can download a trial
version for free, but at the expense of a 142MB download and future
salesperson contact, I'd love to hear what you guys think about it in
advance.
Thanks,
Sean
