Wait a few days.  There will be a new news group (comp.emulators.windows.wine?)
that will cover this GREAT project.  Currently a listserv is used, but it
will (I think) go away when the news group starts.

Wine development is continuing all the time, but it is still not ready for
general release (it's ALPHA still).  If you want to get Wine to try it
out, you're welcome to ftp it from a few sites, but be sure to read the
Wine.FAQ first, which is available along with Wine from the following
sites:

        aris.com:/pub/linux/ALPHA/Wine
        tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/ALPHA/Wine/development
        ftp.funet.fi:/pub/OS/Linux/ALPHA/Wine
        ftp.wonderland.org:/Wine
        ftp.netcom.com:/pub/dgardner/Wine

A new developers release comes out every week, mid-week.

Also, be sure to subscribe to the upcoming Wine newsgroup:

        comp.emulators.ms-windows.wine

The recent CFV passed, and a control message creating this newsgroup
should be sent out any day now.

The above is good advice, but you may also want to take a look at my
Wine WWW page which contains the standard Wine documents (FAQ, etc.)
as well as some screen shots and other stuff.
