Oct. 10, so says infomagic, though when I ordered, they said I should
have it before Oct. 5 (the new distribution).  The new one is to be
Slackware Pro 2.1 (I believe) with kernals through 1.1.51 (at least),
all updated software.  It also comes with the regular infomagic bells
and whistles.

You must have the June (Red) edition.  They did not produce an August
edition.  Meantime Walnut Creek had an August release of their Linux
Toolkit, is that what you have?

Due to their move from NJ to AZ, their August edition has become their
September edition, and even that has been delayed.

We are currently being promised that the next edition will be delivered to
us on October 10 from the factory.

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the version(s) of XFree that
will be shipping on the infomagic CD-ROM.  I am particularly interested in
knowing whether it will contain the Diamond Viper server.

Oh, and I'm also wondering if it's still $20 as it was last time.  I'd
appreciate it if someone with an info-sheet would send it to me, the last
time I tried to communicate with infomagic.com the mail bounced back.

Thanks,

: When will the next release of Linux InfoMagic CD set come out?

There were a few rumors posted.  Facts behind the rumor is that they will
be shipping more like on October 14.  They held up the pressing for
X11R6.1.  For any of you who already have it on order from SSC/Linux
Journal a apologize for the delay but we expect it will be worth the
wait.

The price remains at $20 for this distribution.  I mention this because

more information.

1. InfoMagic's next Linux CD set

As of 10 September InfoMagic will be relocating from Princeton, NJ to
Flagstaff, Arizona.  We are hoping to be back in full operation within a week
or so of the move assuming all goes as planned with our new Internet Service
provider.  We have sold out of the June release of the Linux Developer's
Resource, though a few dealers still have some available.  Our normal update
schedule would have had the new version available about now from a mid-
August snapshot, however because of our planned move we have delayed the
update until we are relocated.

So...The next release of the 2-CD Linux Developer's Resource is planned for
late September.  We have a number of additions and enhancements for the
new release, all of which we will reveal closer to the actual ship date :-).

We would like to thank everyone for making this product a success and also
for your understanding during our move.
