Has anyone gotten the IDE connector on the SB-16 to work w/ Linux? My
roomate got his SB32 to work, but mine can't find anything. It doesn't
identify this as a controller. Any ideas?

You didn't say whether this was a PNP device.
If it is, get the latest isapnp-tools and read
the README-IDE file.
