hi!

I found these lines in /var/log/messages. What does it mean? The cpu is a
PIII Speedstep Moblie.

kernel: oprofile: no local P6 APIC. Falling back to RTC mode
kernel: Your CPU does not have a local APIC, e.g. mobile P6. Falling back to
RTC mode

It means that your kernel has correctly detected your CPU type and adjusted
its behaviour accordingly.

... it's information data about system detection. if you want

Searched the web for apic operating system.
Results 1 - 10 of about 13,700. Search took 0.15 seconds.
