Can any one help me about Xconfig for S3 ?

Can any one help me for my Xconfig file.

After my reading modeDB.txt and VideoModes.txt, I still could not
figure out how to set proper parameters for my S3 adapter.

Though I have tried all the samples about S3 for my S3
adapter, it (X-win) only work under 640x480 mode. (it causes lots of
questions after I leave X-win -- I cannot see anything under text mode
after leaving X-win)

When I try 800x600 or 1024x768 mode, I only get a mass screen
collected in the central band of monitor. What's up ?

Can you help me to figure out what is the proper parameters in Xconfig
for my S3 adapter. If any information is needed for it, please tell me.
But don't tell me to read VideoModes.txt again, I realy cannot understand
it!! (nor telling me to try Xf86config because it's even more bothering
than reading videoModes.txt)

Thanks for your time and help.

Sincerely
Yang-Sen Lin

BTW, below is part of my Xconfig:

It would help a great deal if you would tell us what brand and model of
S3 adapter you have. They vary widely, you know.
