I am using rvplayer5.0 with netscape 4.5beta, I also used it with
netscape 4.06. I have Redhat 5.0. I put copies of the RA*.class files
into my ~/.netscape/plugin directory, with a link to the executable
there also.
My setup within netscape for the plugin is:
Description: <blank>
MIME Type: audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin
Suffixes: <blank>
Plugin Checked: Selection - RealVideo Player plugin
My setup for the external call is:
Description: RealAudio
MIME Type: audio/x-pn-realaudio
Suffixes: ra,ram,rm
Application: /usr/bin/rvplayer %s
Also, my dist of rvplayer came with documentation. Check the
rvplayer5.0/doc directory.
<snip>
That "~" looks wrong to me, myQuote:> Description: RealPlayer 5.0
> Type: audio/x~pn-realaudio-plugin
> Suffix: rpm (and I've tried adding .ra, .ram,
> .rm in different ammounts with no avail)
> plugin box checked with the librvplayer.so
> plugin selected.
Good luck. My friend gave up trying to get his to run. As reference,
I did not install netscape or rvplayer5.0 from rpm's.
