Just popped up onto Slashdot - it appears there's now a DIVX movie
player for the Sharp Zaurus! (It's from theKompany.com, who brought us
the first portable Ogg Vorbis music player -- also for the Zaurus.)

yea but it can't stream over wireless -- which is pushing me towards a

I've seen a twisted Unixy solution to this (for the interim).
Make a fifo socket, and then wget the URL of the streamed file
and point the player at it.
