BSD Symantics? Is that a kernel option?

I'm working thru the LinuxFromScratch howto and I'm stuck at
the installation of netkit-base-*.tar.gz. When I unpack it and
run ./configure it says 'BSD Symantecs required' is this a kernel
compile option?
