Hello, how does one go about adding the output of a given text based
program to all outgoing mail in a manner such as a company wide signature

This probably depends on the mail-program you use. If your mail program
supports adding a specific file as a signature, you could create a program
that produces the output to a FIFO (named pipe) and make the mail program
read the signature from this FIFO. I've seen this solution mentioned on and
off for some years, so it's just a matter of finding it somewhere on the
net.
