Any knowledge or experiences using Linux with the Hayes ESP high(er)
speed serial card? I'm guessing it will work just fine in the card's
UART-compatible mode (where it emulates a 16550A), but I'd like to know
about the card's enhanced mode, also.

I have a friend who has one of these cards and I would like any info on getting
it working in ESP (extended Serial Port) mode also. He says it is faster in
DOS/Windows when it is configured in ESP mode rather than UART mode. He also
states it has a 1024 byte buffer for I/O that he thinks is fully enabled only
in ESP mode. I will try some experiments with it however he is reluctant to
reconfigure it into UART mode so he would like to get it working in ESP mode. I
will keep anyone updated who is interested in corresponding about using this
card.
