Introducing "Baltimore" - A Free Doom Engine (Source Code Available).

Hi fellow programmers, have you ever wondered how they made games like
Doom, Dark Forces and Duke Nukem ? If you're interested in the algorithm
used in these games, you may want to check out "Baltimore", my 3D game
engine
that can give your games Doom-like look-and-feel.

Currently, this is not a real game yet. It's like a C++ class library
for
developers that want to make a real 3D game just like Doom. But, all the
SOURCE CODES, including the real-time rendering algorithm, are available
FOR FREE. Plus, it supports both Windows 95/NT and Unix.

I thought this newsgroup was comp.unix.programmer, not

Maybe you didn't notice, but this message is posted to 17 different
newsgroups, not just comp.unix.programmer.

Maybe you didn't notice, but that's called spamming, and you can take
what you get when you do it. You're either clueless or malicious, but
either way you have no basis for objecting to complaints from anyone
on newsgroups you spam.

The response was from comp.unix.programmer because that's where it was
read. There's no law that says anyone here has to like what you do
just because you post to 17 newsgroups (the rest of which probably
don't want your spam anymore than we do here).

Take a hike.

He's not the one who posted the original post!  he's just explaining
that this was sent to 17 newsgroups and that if everyone from 17
newgroups posts please stop it, instead of emailing the guy, this
thread will be huge.

If should have then been posted seperately to the non-binary newsgroups
without the screenshot attached.

No, *if* it was relevent to multiple groups, then it should have been
*crossposted* to those groups, with followups set somewhere appropriate
(or to 'poster').
