Subject: Why does tin say PROBLEM_WITH_INEWS_DOMAIN_FILE ?
Organization: Bankruptcy Creditors' Service, Inc.

I have tried and tried to figure this one out.  I have come to the
conclusion that either (i) I am plainly stupid or (ii) just being
oblivious to the obvious.

I am using tin for news reading and posting.  My posts appear with the
following from address:

Any ideas how to get rid of the the PROBLEM_WITH_INEWS_DOMAIN_FILE message?

1. vmtune not doing what it says on the tin

We have a number of aix systems.  vmtune doesnt "appear" to be doing
its job.  For example the following has been set on a box with 384 ram
:

/etc/inittab
vmtune:2:wait:/usr/samples/kernel/vmtune -p 10 -P 35 > /dev/console

Hence I would expect it never to allocate more than 35% memory to
files, hence 134.4 megs.  However it doesnt.  Using Topas, ( oh the
box is running 4.3.3 ) I can see that after a while of some IO :

MEMORY
Real,MB     383
% Comp     13.0
% Noncomp  87.0
% Client    0.0

Monitor reports files at 332 Megs.

Any ideas why its not working.. is it me ?
