IP-Socket, Buffer, Interface-IP-Address

Post by Robin Holenwege » Wed, 25 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi

I program a load generator for IP protocols UDP, TCP, ICMP and IGMP in
C. I have to read the Interface address and send packets of variable
type and length. Now I have 2 questions:

- where can I read the interface IP address

- how can I find out whether the output buffer of the interface is full
and I can continue to send packets. Or does the send() function wait
for enough space before it writes the data to the interface?

Please help me if you can.
Thanks

Holi
