I am new to linux... i have Xfree 3.2, new kernal
and redhat 4.1
I have not installed yet cause i was afraid it would not work with my
card...
( STB VELOCITY 3D Virge/VX 4MB VRAM )
Please could you tell me the steps i need to get it working with xfree??
I would appreciate it so much
please enclose any files and instructions you think would help

1. Anyone running an STB Velocity 3d Card successfully?
I am close to giving up. Maybe I'll just have to go out and buy a new
video card. But I can't get X to work correctly with my STB Velocity 3D
and Princeton Ultra 17+ monitor. My display is shifted up about a
quarter of an inch and cannot be coaxed down using xvidtune or the
monitor controls. X refuses to shutdown properly. And today I was trying
to configure my printer in X printtool and was promply dropped out of X
and back at the command prompt. Finally, if I try to get back into x
after shutting it down (or getting kicked out) my machine freezes
completely.
Ugh.
I need help. It would seem that I cannot figure this out on my own.
