ascii file xfer with minicom

ascii file xfer with minicom

Anyone have a good way to send/rec ascii text with minicom?  To send plain
ascii I added /bin/cat as a file xfer protocol.  It seems to work okay but
for long files the spacing gets messed up and it adds extra tabs.  Any
comments?

Thanks--

1. Minicom: unable to xfer files unless logged in as root

Hopefully someone can help me. I am using minicom to do zmodem file
transfers, but it only seems to work when I am 'root'. Does anyone
know why this is so? I am assuming that something needs a permission
change. . .
   Thanks!
