: You might also try what was known as ``LyriX'', and has been re-named ``LyX''.
: It is a word-processor front-end to LaTeX, and is coming along very nicely,

OK - I need to know what file formats LyX(or IV) can import and export.
My problem is that I like to do all development under Linux, but my
contract requires that I produce documentation in MS "WORD" format.
So I would be a happy camper if I could find a LINUX word processor that
can import and export some "rich" file format that MS Word knowns about,
eg, so I can import a draft from a colleague who used "MS-WORD-VISO"
for creating figures, then I can change the figures and export back to
an MS-WORD format so my colleage can make more changes via "VISIO".
Is such a capability extant or planned for any Linux word processor?
Thanks!
Robert
