Is there a Linux port for the ARM?  (StrongARM in particular
would be nice...)

Yes, see:
  <http://www.veryComputer.com/~howlett/pilot/source.html>

Theory has it that Corel is soon to ship Network Computers with
StrongARM chips and Linux in them; see:
<http://www.veryComputer.com/:8080/home/print9497.nsf/All/SL38shorts15E4E>

It doesn't seem to be documented on Corel's own web site, for what
it's worth...

WTF has this to do with a linux port to the ARM???

AFAIR the PalmPilot uses a MC68000 series chip... not the same thing at
all... on top of which there's no mention of linux whatsoever!

It might be nice to get linux running on the Strongarm'd Apple MessagePad
though...

Since I found some answers (but not via this newsgroup) I figure
I might as well post them here in case anyone else is interested.

Yes, there is a Linux for the ARM.  From what I can tell from the
description, it's a running version (not just a project or a dream).

For more, look in http://www.arm.uk.linux.org/~rmk/armlinux.html

1. about glibc-arm & newlib-arm

Hi,
    In glibc configured with arm-linux, swi_write number is 0x69. While in
newlib configured with arm-linux, swi_write is 0x900004. How comes the
difference?

Thanks in advance.
