If you don't have a PostScript printer/cartridge then you'll need ghostscript
to convert PostScript to PCL. The question then becomes the most expiedient
(sp) way to do it.
I personally use apsfilter 4.91. After unpacking it and running the setup
script you can simply 'lpr' the file and the filter will automagically
convert the file and print it. Not just postscript either. With the
proper filters (specifically the PBM filter set) you can convert GIFs,
TIFFs, DVI, and other types of files.
Get it from: ftp.cc.gatech.edu:/pub/Linux/system/Printing/aps491.tgz
(note that ftp.cc.gatech.edu is a sunsite.unc.edu.mirror. Sunsite had a
disk crash recently)
