Hi,
I am trying to install the rpm of Xemacs-20.2-7.
It tells me it needs libpng.so.1.
If I try to install libpng-0.96-2 it tell me I need /bin/sh.
I have /bin/sh.
Can anyone help me out here?

The bash rpm fails to "provide" /bin/sh, so you have to use the --nodeps
switch.

happened to me too sometimes. seems like something freaks out in the
rpm db

use rpm -i --nodeps libpng...
^^^^^^^^

should work.

This is supposedly fixed in later versions of RPM. The latest is
version 2.4.10, available from ftp.rpm.org.

Install libpng without dependency check.

man rpm
