I want to have Netscape on my SPARC RH4.2, so I got the latest mozilla
source and the latest lesstif source. Cos I can't find binaries anywhere
except for all the i386 ones.

I have no idea if the Mozilla source is ok, 'cos I can't get lesstif to
compile. I un-tar'd it into /usr/src/lesstif-.../, did ./configure then
make.

It crashes when it tries to compile mwm.c in /clients/Motif-1.2/mwm/
saying it can't find the above function _SC_OP...

I have tried two different versions of lesstif which leads me to believe
this function resides on my system somewhere and the lesstif can't find
it on compile.

Can someone help me out here?

String. _SC_OPEN_MAX is not a function --- you should not be able to
compile in the first place, so I don't know why something crashes.

Anyway, _SC_OPEN_MAX is a #defined constant for the sysconf()
function. Try to #include <unistd.h> at the beginning of the
files using _SC_OPEN_MAX; if this doesn't help, grep through your
headers to find the one that defines _SC_OPEN_MAX and #include it :-)
