Can I install linux on these old IBM RS/6000 machines?

Hi All
I have tow IBM RS/6000 machines now running AIX-4.3.
I want to know if I can install linux on it.
After some research, I cannot find information on linux installation
of these specific machines.(Some RS/6000 models can run linux, but I
cannot find my models in the list)

First I want to make sure I get the right machine type.
On one machine, there is a printing "IBM RISC System/6000 39H", and
next to it there is another printing, which I think is the serial
number,"7012 26-80853".

On another machine, the printings are "IBM RISC System/6000" and "7030
26-AARMZ".

It seeems 7012/7030 are the model number, aren't they?
And 39H also looks like model number.
Which one is correct?
And can I install linux on them?
I found a distribution called Yellow Dog Linux is suitable for
PowerPCs. But I don't know whether my mahcines work.
Thank you very much.,

Well, that would be model 7012-38H.  A microchannel model
with a POWER2 processor.  According to

http://oss.software.ibm.com/developer/opensource/linux/projects/ppc/m...

"POWER- and MCA-based machines do not work at all"

I believe the 7030 series also have POWER2 CPUs and MCA
busses.  Looks like you're out of luck.

Your processors are (AFAIK) _not_ PowerPCs but POWER2
processors.  Check out

http://www.penguinppc.org/

for information on PowerPC/POWER processors and Linux.  See
their FAQ and links to hardware compatability lists.
Somewhere there is also a bit about a development effort
that _may_ get Linux working on these machines.  If anything
will work, it won't be easy.  You'd need to be very familiar
with RS/6000 (which you don't seem to be from your confusion
over model numbers).

Sorry for the bad news.
