You received with 1.1n a file called , i believe, netscape.ad.  That little
baby tells you more than you need to know about fonts.  also you can change
your font path to 100dpi, you are probably using 75 dpi.

xset fp= /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/

is what i use in the .xinitrc

Does anyone know how to change the default font size of Netscape 1.1N in X?
Under the preferences-windows and link styles dialog, setting the font size to
small or medium makes the characters too small to read but perfect for
printing. OTOH, setting it to large makes for readable text display but wastes
more paper when printing. The characters also appear jagged. I use 1024x768.
Any clues or pointers to FAQs will be helpful. I would like to increase the
displayed font size even when I select small under Netscape. Thank you.

Thanks for pointing out Netscape.ad. I failed to mention I wanted to change the
fonts in a Netscape document window. Towards the end of Netscape.ad, I found that
you can change the pointsize of a font inside a document. Playing with the
settings lets me specify "medium" or "small" font style resulting in a readable
display font in 75dpi and smaller fonts when printed. In the past, I had to use
"large" font style when reading documents on the display and switching to "small"
when I print them out. I wanted to cram more text on the paper.
