Hello,
I have a problem. When I try to compile the gtk+ toolkit for the gimp I get
the following message:
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/ginstall -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
.
.
.
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g -O2 -DNDEBUG ) is a cross-compiler...
yes
checking whether we are using GNU C... (cached) yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... (cached) yes
checking for gcc option to accept ANSI C... none needed

.
.
checking whether shmctl IPC_RMID allowes subsequent attaches... assuming no
checking X11/extensions/XShm.h... yes
checking resource base field in XDisplay... configure: error: can not run test
program while cross compiling
I have gcc 2.7.2 and a 2.0.31 kernel. I tried to execute the configure script
on the linux box of a friend. There it worked fine:
.
.
.
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -g -O2 -DNDEBUG ) is a cross-compiler...
no

.
I have no idea how to turn off the "cross-compiling" and I can't remember that
I have installed something like a cross-compiler. Does anyone have an idea how
to turn it off?
Thanx!
Ciao
Steffen
