I have a bunch of little .mpeg that I need to cat together. Is there any
encoders for Linux?

http://www.veryComputer.com/ ; search for "mpeg encode" and you'll see a
few.  The Berkeley mpeg_encode utility will turn a series of GOPs into
MPEGs, but it doesn't do sound(!) and so might not be what you need.
There's another possible solution at http://*e.linuxbox.com but
it's Quicktime and not MPEG.  HTH,

1. mpeg encoding with sound

Hi,

I would like to mix sound to an MPEG video. The video is done with
mpeg_encode from PNM files.
I want to add sound to self made stop motion animations.
