1. route add ==> SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument
Hi all,
I tried using some lines from the NET-3-HOWTO to configure
a test ethernet between a solaris 2.5.1 machine and a
Linux-2.0.29 box and got the following error message:
# ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
# route add -net 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0
# route add default gw 192.168.1.1 eth0
SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument
Can anybody tell me what that should mean ?
Thanks,
