Check/Fix the integrity of the passwd and shadow files

Post by Larry Jam » Sat, 06 Sep 1997 04:00:00

Can someone tell me if there is a command that will allow a person
to check and fix the integrity of the passwd and shadow files.  I just
upgraded my Slackware version 3.2 to version 3.3.  I'm sure I didn't do
it right.  Now there are some strange problems with my Pop server.
Thanks in advance for any comments/or suggestions from anyone using
any version of Linux.

1. Command to set or check the integrity of the passwd/shadown/group files

Can someone tell me if there is a command to check the integrity of
the passwod for Linux or Slackware.  My main system is SCO unix.  You
can check the integrity of using the command "integrity" in SCO.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or comments.
