I teach a course in operating systems at Penn State, Erie. I would be
interested in corresponding with other faculty (and students) with an
interest in same. Some of the topics I would be interested in discussing are:
1) course focus - os concepts vs os implementation vs systems programming
2) platforms - linux / unix / student build their own / etc.
3) textbook recomendations - terrific / good /stay way from
4) project experiences/recommendations
5) anything else relevant to the topic

You managed to contradict yourself in the span of three sentences.

I see, you're trying to rationalize the OS/2 PPC support by saying it was
really for the hardware, not the software.  Typical wriggling and squirming.

Irrelevant; ongoing support doesn't require a current product offering, and
that was hardware, not software.
