I can get Netscape to launch the correct application, but you need to do it
through the .mime.types
and .mailcap files. The command is "applix msword.doc". In the window
displaying the mail
message, there is an icon with the document name (msword.doc). If you double
click the icon, it
doesn't load msword.doc, it tries to load a pointer to the document. I get an
error such as:
Error: /tmp/M0351918E202043A.doc ... code 255 ...
The Applixware main menu starts, but the document isn't loaded. If I double
click the icon again,
the document will load. Although sometimes it tries to load it as a RFT file.
BTW: If I save the
document as msword.doc and issue the command "applix msword.doc" from a
shell, it works
as it should.
I'd like to find a reliable way to open the MS Word documents. It's possible
that a macro could
handle it correctly, but I have not got that solved.
