Help: PPP -> peer is not allowed to use remote address 193.172.249.50

Hi,

Can't get my PPP connection working for some time.
In /var/log/pppd.log I see the message:

"Peer is not authorised to use remote address 193.172.249.50"
"Unauthorized remote IP address"

What's happening here? In the /etc/ppp/options file I set
the option "noipdefault" but this also doesn't work....
I get this same message (same IP-nr) when I connect to both
my ISP (12Move and Hetnet)?

Can you tell me a solution for this? Would really like to see an internet
session under Linux.....

Doing an "dig" on "hetnet" shows:

IMHO There are two possible causes for this problem which is all to do with
the ppp daemon setup.

Check man pppd to see all the options but the ones you are interested in
are "auth" and "noauth".

If that fails check out the format of  your /etc/ppp/pap-secrets and
/etc/chap/secrets files. Usually it is
USER * PASSWORD *
If the second * is missing it might be causing problems.

Place
noauth
into /etc/ppp/options.
Get rid of the default route on your ethernet card (unless you know
you want it to be the default)

1. Peer is not authorized to use remote address - PPP problem

Could not find anything in the docs or faq, so I hope someone out there has
had the same problem.

Redhat 6.2 system dials in to ISP, gets autheticated correctly, goes into
ppp and then my side does not accept the ip-addres of the remote side "Peer
is not authorized to use remote address"

Tried all options like noipdefault, 0.0.0.0:0.0.0.0, ipcp-accept-remote,
ipcp-accept-local, without succes.

I suspect some configuration of linux does prevent accepting the remote
address but have no idea where to look.
