sleeping + 72% CPU at same time

sleeping + 72% CPU at same time

Lately I have been seeing processes get in loops where they are using
all the CPU they can get but if you attach a truss to them it shows
that the processes is sleeping waiting on a read.

(from top)
8562 xserv1    35    0 3732K 1924K run    54:49 72.61% 75.71% listproc

uxa.ecn.bgu.edu# truss -p 8562
read(8, 0x00258F68, 65536)      (sleeping...)

[It still continues to use CPU while trussed!]

uxa.ecn.bgu.edu# ps -fp 8562
UID   PID  PPID  C    STIME TTY      TIME COMD
  xserv1  8562  8561 80 09:21:47 ?       55:27 /opt/local/lib/listproc/listproc -1 -d run -S 131072

uxa.ecn.bgu.edu# ps -lp 8562
F S   UID   PID  PPID  C PRI NI     ADDR     SZ    WCHAN TTY      TIME COMD
 8 O 32138  8562  8561 80  39 20 f8835340    933          ?       55:32 listproc

We are running Solaris 2.4.

Anyone else seeing this?  I have seem it happen to three different
commands so far.
