Solaris x86 locale ?

Solaris x86 locale ?

Post by msenti.. » Sat, 21 Jul 2001 07:31:20

hello!

I just installed a solaris box on a x86 and I have errors saying that
it couldn't set the locale correctly during the boot process when it
starts services.
I went and checked on my locales for root user and they all seems fine
(all of them are C).
can anybody help me please

1. Locales for Solaris 2.5 x86 / CDE 1.0.2

Does anyone know how I can get the Japanese, Korean, etc. locales for CDE
1.0.2 on my Solaris 2.5 x86 machine?  When I installed CDE, I tried picking
the other locales, but it said they weren't on my CDROM.

What I want is the ability to run my software in those languages, have an IME
(input method editor), etc.  On HP/UX it is called the Asian System
Environment (ASE).

Replies by e-mail would really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Bryan C. Everly
