Hi,
In my sendmail.cf, there is a line
O MaxMessageSize= 5242880
However, I can only send mail out in around 3M.
Why isn't it 5M ? Thanks

- Have you restarted your sendmail server ?
- Are you sure it's using the correct sendmail.cf file ?
- Is there any other mail-server on the way ?
- What about your mailer ? (some mailers do have a limit
that is also customizable).
Else? I don't see what it could be.

1. Sendmail and procmail with max size exceeds problems...
Hi:
I'm using sendmail 8.8.4 with procmail (pre-install by RedHat 4.2). I
would like to be able to receive email attachement > to 4MB and I tought
that I only need to set that in /etc/senmail.cf:
# maximum message size
O MaxMessageSize=20000000
to have the possibility to accept email < or = to 20MB. After reloading
sendmail, I still can not receive email > to 4MB. I saw in the
/etc/sendmail.cf
config file the I use procmail as a program mailer;
##################################################
### Local and Program Mailer specification ###
##################################################
R=20/40,
T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
A=procmail -a $h -d $u
Mprog, P=/bin/sh, F=lsDFMoeu, S=10/30, R=20/40, D=$z:/,
T=X-Unix,
A=sh -c $u
Do you think my problem come from procmail ?
Thanks for your help.
Ciao.
