How to change background image in CDE

Post by Peter Soderhol » Tue, 22 Aug 2000 04:00:00

Hello !

A rather trivial question. Where is the image / pattern files for the
desktop images in CDE hidden (in Solaris 7/8)?
I would like to put some nice picture on there instead of the boring
standard patterns. Or is this impossible?

Thanks!
Peter

Yes.  Set your CDE backdrop to "None", and then display the image of
choice by using xv or something.  Or run xearth!

NT tries to do almost everything UNIX does, but fails - miserably.

The use of Windoze cripples the mind; its use should, therefore, be
regarded as a criminal offence.  (With apologies to Edsger W. Dijkstra)
