SUN PCI X11 remote login failes

Post by Michael Laajane » Thu, 03 Jul 2003 20:32:35

HI,

I have a U10/Solaris 8 with a SUNPCI 400MHz board adn Windows 2000.

When I try to do a remote login from my Solaris 9 machines it crashes
just before the windows login window!

Why, anybody know how to solve this problem?

Use Windows 2000  in Terminal server mode  and use
the Opensource  "rdesktop" RDP protokol client.

Or (easier) put this in the ~/pc/SunPC.ini

That is in the FAT filesystem right not the /opt/SUNWspci... SunPC.ini?

A second really stupid question I was trying to upgrade the Solaris 8 to
a Solaris 9 system the in the modload I got this

Jul  2 21:27:57 batman krtld: [ID 819705 kern.notice]
/usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9/rsm: undefined symbol
Jul  2 21:27:57 batman krtld: [ID 826211 kern.notice]  'threadwi_create'
Jul  2 21:27:57 batman krtld: [ID 819705 kern.notice]
/usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9/rsm: undefined symbol
Jul  2 21:27:57 batman krtld: [ID 826211 kern.notice]  'threadwi_wait'
Jul  2 21:27:57 batman krtld: [ID 472681 kern.notice] WARNING: mod_load:
cannot load module 'rsm'

Is there some way around this or should I go back to 8?
