Very Computer

Is there a educational price for students?  I am looking to go strictly to
solaris and cde because of the windows and mac compatiblity is so good.  But I
can not afford $500 for an OS.

Or if there is a better alternative please let me know.

Linux is okay but windows emulation is not so good not too mention I would like
to use a commercial product.

I already have a pc more than capable of handling solaris.  But I need Help

SunExpress (800-873-7869) sells Solaris 2.4 Desktop for $99 at edu prices.
Also SunSoft F77 and C/C++ for Solaris x86 are $99 apiece. I don't know if
students qualify, or if you have that's an institutional price only.

I just bought the 2 user educational discount of Solaris 2.4 for $99.

When we called SunExpress they said that anyone affiliated with an
educational institution would qualify. This includes students, faculty
and staff (as is my case). The whole package (that I have yet to find the
time to install) is only two user - but that's ok.

The sadpart of all of this is that on the day it was delivered I read in
this newsgroup of the announcement of the release of Solaris 2.5!!!
