Solaris 2.4 x86 supporting PCI & NCR SCSI

Anyone knows whether Solaris 2.4 x86 supporting PCI bus & NCR SCSI 58xx
since I planned to install Solaris on my P-100 machine running on a Asus MB withPentium 100. If the drivers of NCR SCSI does not come with Solaris, is there anydriver provided by NCR??

1. Solaris 2.4 x86 & NCR scsi problems

Hello.

I have had the most difficult time getting Solaris installed on my system.
First, I got the sad news that Solaris does notupport the PCI scsi nexus
on my motherboard. I have an ASUS 486-66 SP3 board with the 53c810 SCSI
built on board.

The intriguing part is when I disable the NCR and use an Adaptec 1542b or c
in my system andthe following happens:Off the boot disks, the original and
the updated, the multi-device detection program hangs. (At different
places with different boot disks.)
Then, if I try booting an already installed version ( one which worked on
another system) I get ncrs timouts every 10 seconds or so (while the NCR
is disabled and the Adaptec is running the hard drive!)

Do I need to rip out the NCR chip for the 1542 to work?

If anyone can shed some light on this,would be very helpful!
